About

My name is Ilse (pronounced El-sa). After finishing my bachelor degree in Amsterdam, I decided that I wanted to live abroad for a little while. In September 2011, I moved to Newcastle upon Tyne to do a master. Unfortunately, it wasn't my cup of tea and quit after two weeks. I was at a crossroads - did I want to move back or stay? The decision was made quickly and I moved back to York where I had done an Erasmus exchange earlier. One thing leads to another and my initial short stay has now turned into a real emigration. I found a full-time job and spend my spare time doing Flamenco dancing, drinking tea (without milk!) and observing the British way of life. :)

This blog is the place where I write about my experiences in the United Kingdom and where I can muse about everyday life. Veel plezier!
